Valle del Maule, Region del Valle Central, ChileThe '06 blend of cabernet sauvignon, syrah and carmenère comes in a slightly denser package than the '05. It's has all the bell pepper and bay leaf character but with more pepper and plummy, black fruits. A step up from the 2005, with a little less acidity poking through.
