Tuscany, ItalyA blend of 85/15 cabernet sauvignon/cabernet franc. There was no sangiovese used in 2002. Smoky, meaty, peppery, black olive, tobacco, salty, earthy, resin, cassis, menthol, vanilla aromas. Dry, round, tight palate but rich with some grainy, tight tannin. Black berry, cassis, chocolate, peppery, tobacco, cranberry, meaty, licorice root flavours with some smoky, vanilla, roasted game and leather on the finish.
