Vina Casas del Bosque Syrah Reserve 2004
Valle de Casablanca, Region de Aconcagua, ChileMuch like its Okanagan brethren this new Chilean syrah offers terrific value. Bosque's syrah is cool with bright spicy pepper and earth notes with bits of smoke and resin. It's a touch rubbery when you open it but eventually it blows off in the glass or decanter. Look for intense Rhone-like characters with cracked pepper and meaty notes throughout the finish.
