Penfolds Koonunga Hill Shiraz 2005

South Australia, AustraliaThe Koonunga Hill mantra is generous mid-palate, oak without any bitterness and terroir as in multi-region with a healthy whack from Barossa. This '05 has slightly reductive character when opened so give it plenty of air. The fruit is soft and supple with a fair bit of spicy, black, meaty fruit and a smooth enjoyable finish. A solid, mid-week entertainer.Tasted: 20 August 2007Tasted by: Anthony Gismondi and Stuart TobePrices:
