Sauvignon Republic Stellenbosch Sauvignon Blanc 2006
Stellenbosch, Coastal Region, South Africa Wow almost riesling, in sauvignon clothing. Brisk minerality, fresh lemon-lime but not overpowering as Marlborough version cam is. Vibrant chalky mid-palate mixing limes, herbs and grass in the finish. Not as intense as some but that probably contributes to its food friendly styling. Sip all summer on the patio with a wide range of appetizers.Tasted: 18 April 2007Tasted by: Anthony Gismondi and Stuart TobePrices:US | $18.00 | 750ml | estimated price |
