Grant Burge Thorn Eden Valley Riesling 2005

Eden Valley, South Australia, AustraliaEden Valley riesling shone in Vancouver at the 07 Playhouse wine festival and the Grant Burge label is no less impressive with its bright citrus lime rind and honeysuckle fruit aromas. Made from 30 year old vines, half of the fruit is whole-bunch pressed before its run off the skins to settle for 48 hours and then fermented for five weeks at 11 C. Love the bright floral mineral/petrol notes and the limey aftertaste. This will keep a decade but you can serve it now with oysters and squeeze of lemon.Tasted: 07 April 2007Tasted by: Anthony Gismondi and Stuart TobePrices:
