Michele Chiarlo Barbaresco Asili 2000

Montforte d'Alba, Cuneo, Piedmont, ItalyPeppery, tar, black cherry, truffle, barnyard, tea and coffee nose, very aromatic. Dry, round, elegant style with light tannins, nearly ready. Smoky, resin, leather, dried cherry, mineral flavours with a tobacco, sour cherry finish. Very good finesse but young should improve over the next 2-5 years. A bit Burgundian like in style.Tasted: 13 March 2007Tasted by: Anthony Gismondi and Stuart TobePrices:
