Mendoza, ArgentinaThe latest Catena Alta malbec is 100 per cent malbec blended from three, high altitude Mendoza vineyards: Adrianna, Altamira and Angelica. The nose is extremely attractive offering fragrant, earthy undertones and bright fruit. The textures are suave. This is malbec at a very high level. The fruit is ripe, tasting of blackberries and black stone fruits flecked with spicy vanilla, mocha and tobacco. A big, sophisticated red by any standard.
