Alamos Syrah 2005
Mendoza, ArgentinaThe first Alamos syrah we have tasted shows fine promise. They made 2500 cases in 2005 and the meaty spicy licorice root aromas pull you into the glass. The textures are supple with big peppery black fruit flavours spiked with sausage, sage and orange rind. The finish is long and soft with meaty, cherry cola highlights. A fun, mouth-filling red at a fine price.Tasted: 19 February 2007Tasted by: Anthony GismondiPrices:AB | $14.75 | 750ml | fine wine boutiques |
