Wolf Blass Bilyara Reserve Cabernet Sauvignon 2004

South Australia, AustraliaThe new Bilyara cabernet is packaged in plastic or a PET bottle with a screwcap. According to Wikipedia, polyethylene terephthalate (aka PET or PETE) is a thermoplastic polymer resin of the polyester family that is used in synthetic fibers; beverage, food and other liquid containers. Smaller, lighter, more transportable and unbreakable it is the latest in wine storage. Look for a slightly vegetative nose with hints of bell pepper, mint and black fruit. The tannins are dry and youthful but offset slightly by bitter chocolate and spicy black cherry fruit. Serve with grilled meats for best results.Tasted: 31 December 2006Tasted by: Anthony Gismondi and Stuart TobePrices:
