Bendigo, Victoria, AustraliaSomewhat reduced initially then opens with savoury, peppery, meaty, blackberry, floral, licorice root, pencil lead and chocolate vanilla aromas. Rich, ripe, round, dry palate with some grainy tannins. Good spicy, peppery, meaty, smoky, mineral, chocolate, blackberry, mocha flavours. Intense, well balanced despite some heat and acidity on the finish. Needs a year or two or try with a slow roasted lamb stew.
