Bolgheri, Tuscany, ItalyThis is the full blown meal here made with 100 per cent merlot. It spends 24 months in new French oak barrels and has come out with an intense smoky, black cherry jam, coffee, vanilla, menthol, roasted olive nose flecked with nutmeg, cardamom and tobacco. Classic Rolland, - supple and rich but with finesse and fine acidity that keeps it lively. Cherry, peppery, cardamom, coffee, orange peel, mineral, red licorice, minty, vanilla flavours mix with a tobacco, mocha, Christmas pudding finish.
