Cuatro Pasos (four steps) Bierzo 2004

Bierzo, Castilla-Leon, SpainSmoky, spicy, sweaty saddle leather, barnyard, pruny nose. Dry, tart, slightly tannic palate and a bit lean but there is bright cherry, pruny, peppery, cardamom notes mixed with mineral, leather, smoky, coffee flavours. Very dry with some tannins poking through. Has good flavours but needs food to tame the dry tannins or age for 2-4 years.Tasted: 07 December 2006Tasted by: Anthony Gismondi and Stuart TobePrices:
