Sumac Ridge Sauvignon Blanc Black Sage Vineyard 2005

Okanagan Valley, British Columbia, CanadaButtered popcorn, grapefruit, gooseberry, melon rind nose with a floral note. Soft, round, somewhat flabby entry with overly buttery, leesy, oily, smoky, mineral, cooked grapefruit flavours. Finish is flat, warm and a bit bitter. Less oak and more fruit would be a better direction for this old style white.Tasted: 18 November 2006Tasted by: Anthony Gismondi and Stuart TobePrices:
