MontGras Antu Ninquen Syrah 2004

Valle del Colchagua, Valle del Rapel, Region del Valle Central, ChileAfter years of promise MontGras is finally getting untracked as it moves into the hillsides of the Colchagua Valley. Look for a big black berry, black cherry, chocolate, smoky, saddle leather, savoury notes laced with floral, peppery, five spice aromas and great fruit intensity. Rich, ripe, round and dry with slippery tannins on entry followed by peppery, cedar, black berry, cassis, smoky, licorice, root, vanilla flavours spiked with chocolate, orange rind and grilled meat on the finish. Still tight and youthful but this will improve over the next year or so. Excellent quality.Tasted: 22 November 2006Tasted by: Anthony Gismondi and Stuart TobePrices:
