Mission Hill Fairmont Merlot 2004
Okanagan Valley, British Columbia, CanadaSuspiciously Five Vineyard-like there is plenty to like about the merlot bottled for the Fairmont. First it says so on the label. There's less resin and more sweet fruit and oak - obvious sculpted for the Fairmont's busy American trade but it is still B.C. with its black olive cedar, chocolate, vanilla, spicy flavours. Not too dry to sip but would be excellent with food. Look for it on the wine list selling around $30.Tasted: 17 November 2006Tasted by: Anthony GismondiPrices:BC | $30.00 | 750ml | restaurants only |
