La Frenz Cabernet Sauvignon 2004

Naramata Bench, Okanagan Valley, British Columbia, CanadaSimilar to the Bench merlot the cab has savoury, menthol, coffee, herbal, peppery, tapenade notes with a whiff of tobacco leaf. The entry is dry, tart and lean if elegant. Spicy, leafy, olive, tobacco, vanilla, roasted tomato, peppery flavours mark the palate with a coffee pudding finish. A bit less oak and slightly riper fruit and tannins would make it sing.Tasted: 17 November 2006Tasted by: Anthony Gismondi and Stuart TobePrices:
