Domaine Faiveley Mercurey Blanc Clos Rochette 2003

Mercurey, Côte Chalonnaise, Burgundy, FranceRipe apple, honey, spicy, nutty, lees, smoky, mineral nose with a touch of butterscotch. Round, full, elegant and ripe on the palate with good viscosity. Good apple skin, citrus, lees, spicy, nutty, honey, pear and anise with some butterscotch again on the finish. With good acidity and elegance, this is read now and is much like a cross between Corton Charlemagne and a Meursault. A great match for seafood risotto.Tasted: 05 November 2006Tasted by: Anthony Gismondi and Stuart TobePrices:
