Dow's Late Bottled Vintage Port 2000

Douro Valley, Northern Portugal, PortugalBottled in 2005 the latest Dow LBV has a prune, cooked, black cherry nose with threads of peppery, spicy, black tea and licorice aromas. As you might expect, it is still youthful and somewhat fiery with a ripe, round, slightly tannic attack and fine sugar/acidity balance. More spicy, peppery, black cherry jam, tarry, cardamom, coffee flavours with a touch of smoked leather and cherry mint on the finish.
