Vina Litoral Ventolera Sauvignon Blanc 2005

Valle de Leyda, Valle de San Antonio, Region de Aconcagua, ChileImpressive new label from the iconic Chilean winemaker Ignacio Recabarren. Look for big gooseberry, grassy, kiwi, grapefruit nose mixed with canned jalapeno and ripe fig. Ripe, round, crisp, and dry with a slightly oily texture. Zesty palate with grapefruit rind, gooseberry, bell pepper, grassy mineral flavours. Very good acidity and intensity if a touch dry and green. Another fine example of the potential of the Leyda Valley.Tasted: 12 June 2006Tasted by: Anthony Gismondi and Stuart TobePrices:
