South Eastern Australia, AustraliaMuch like the previous year, the nose is sweet with spicy, leafy, peppery notes and undertones of cassis. The entry is soft and slippery with more sweet plum flavoured fruit and some leafy, cedar/ tobacco flavours in the finish. Very commercial for the price.Tasted: 16 May 2006Tasted by: Prices:

South Eastern Australia, AustraliaI'm not sure what the rational is for selling Australian merlot in the over-crowded North American merlot market but it is one of four chosen varieties for The Little Penguin line-up. This initial release has a spicy, leafy, herbal, peppery cassis tone on the nose. The entry is merlot soft, silky and sweet with more peppery, spicy, cherry, leafy, tobacco flavours and some light tannin on the finish. Warm and sweet like most everything out of Oz at this price point.Tasted: 26 June 2004Tasted by: Prices:
