Nieto Senetiner Cadus Malbec 2002

Agrelo District, Luján de Cuyo, Northern Region, Mendoza, ArgentinaCadus is a single vineyard malbec from Agrelo and 2002 is an outstanding year. Look for peppery, vanilla, chocolate, black cherry jam aromas mixed with plum, savoury, smoky floral aromas with a strong hint of cardamom, saddle leather and orange peel ― the real malbec. Rich, ripe, fat and concentrated with fine, tight tannins and good acidity. Lots of smoky, resin, plum, black cherry, vanilla, chocolate and tobacco flavours with a garrigue, orange peel, savoury pudding finish. Very warm with some tannins to shed but has balanced and finesse. Will improve over the next 3-7 years. Certainly worth cellaring.Tasted: 11 May 2006Tasted by: Anthony Gismondi and Stuart TobePrices:
