Jackson-Triggs Meritage Proprietors' Grand Reserve 2003

Okanagan Valley, British Columbia, CanadaOpen spicy, peppery, chocolate, smoky nose with meaty, clove, vanilla highlights mixed with black cherry jam and cassis. Rich, ripe, fat and round (JT-like) with some big tannins. Hot with coffee, smoky vanilla, peppery, cassis, black olive, licorice, resin, pudding and black cherry jam flavours. Very alcoholic with lots of extract. This will need 2-4 years to smooth out. A big style red with obvious consumer attraction.Tasted: 08 April 2006Tasted by: Anthony Gismondi and Stuart TobePrices:
