Foley Pinot Noir Santa Rita Hills 2004
Santa Maria Valley, Santa Barbara County, Central Coast, California, United StatesBig black cherry jam, smoky, licorice, orange peel, garrigue, gamey, minty nose with a hint of vanilla caramel. Very rich, round, smooth, mouth filling palate but powerful. Full flavoured with smoky, dried tea, carrot top, celery salt, strawberry jam, black cherry and vanilla flavours with some licorice root at the back. Quite warm but elegant with good acidity and lots of length. Burgundy on steroids. Should improve for 2-4 years.Tasted: 17 March 2006Tasted by: Anthony Gismondi and Stuart TobePrices:US | $38.00 | 750ml | winery direct |
