Doña Paula Malbec Selección de Bodega 2003
Ugarteche District, Luján de Cuyo, Northern Region, Mendoza, ArgentinaGarrigue, dried herb, black cherry jam with smoky, gamey, vanilla, waxy, tobacco aromas with streaks of licorice. A bit astringent with youthful tannins yet elegant. Vanilla, anise, peppery, tobacco, gamey, orange, creamy pudding, smoky flavours entice. It is warm and astringent with a touch of acidity showing but the finish is long and promising. Needs 3-5 years to integrate but this is a fine effort. Buy and cellar for best results.Tasted: 07 March 2006Tasted by: Anthony GismondiPrices:AB | $32.00 | 750ml | fine wine boutiques |
