Carmen Carmenère 2004

Region del Valle Central, ChileFine peppery, spicy, minty, coriander nose with cherry, tobacco leaf, resin aromas. Soft, round, supple, warm palate. Some 40 percent of the fruit is barrel aged. Spicy, minty, cherry, chalky, chocolate, tobacco and olive flavours. Quite elegant and balanced, much better in the mouth than the herbaceous carmenère nose might lead one to expect.Tasted: 10 March 2006Tasted by: Anthony Gismondi and Stuart TobePrices:
