J. Lohr Merlot Los Osos 2002
Paso Robles, San Luis Obispo County, Central Coast, California, United StatesMenthol, tobacco, chocolate, compost, cherry aromas with a saddle leather note. Dry, tannic, fresh astringent entry with cherry, mocha, peppery, tobacco leaf, black olive flavours. Much like the last version, it has a cedar-y, bitter, astringent finish. Out of balance and awkward for a merlot. The good news is the price is $2 less than the previous vintage.Tasted: 10 February 2006Tasted by: Anthony Gismondi and Stuart TobePrices:BC | $22.99 | 750ml | speculative listing - Landmark Selections, private wine shops |
