Mommessin Monternot Côte de Brouilly La Montagne Bleue 2004
Côte de Brouilly, Beaujolais Villages, Beaujolais, Burgundy, FranceThe "Côte de Brouilly" appellation was created in 1934, when the owners on the slopes of the Mont de Brouilly feared their wine would be confused with the extension of the adjacent Brouilly appellation. The '04 Mommessin has an herbaceous, leafy, mineral, pyrazine, rootsy nose. It is dry, elegant and soft on entry with earthy, licorice root, leafy, mineral flavours but the finish is dry and somewhat lean and acidic.Tasted: 22 December 2005Tasted by: Anthony Gismondi and Stuart TobePrices:BC | $26.99 | 750ml | speculative listing - Charton Hobbs |
