Torbreck Woodcutters Semillon 2004

Barossa Valley, South Australia, AustraliaLook for floral, citrus, quince, nutty, mineral, melon aromas. Round, slightly oily texture but fresh with good acidity. Buttery, melon, quince, green apple flavours with a nutty, cashew, toasty finish. A bit warm but with fine intensity and balance. A delicious combination of (old barrel) fermented fruit and fresh stainless steel juice of which only 50 per cent goes through an acid softening, texture-adding malolactic fermentation. Fun sipping quality white wine.Tasted: 21 November 2005Tasted by: Anthony Gismondi and Stuart TobePrices:
