Torbreck RunRig 2002
Barossa Valley, South Australia, AustraliaThe flagship Torbreck wine is a blockbuster Barossa red. Look for a roasted, prune/plum, peppery, barnyard nose with saddle leather, black berry jam, orange compote, cream cola, anise and a touch of Christmas fruitcake. Super rich and ripe with round, supple elegant tannins. Big cream cola, vanilla, black berry jam, spicy, mint, garrigue, cassis, violet candy flavours with a orange, cherry, cardamom and licorice finish. Fat, fresh, round and flavourful but hot. Like an elegant Grange, this time made with old dry-farmed shiraz blended with viognier.Tasted: 21 November 2005Tasted by: Anthony Gismondi and Stuart TobePrices:BC | $244.99 | 750ml | specialty |
