Lujuria 2003

Yecla, Valencia and Murcia, SpainRemember this label - North Vancouver artist Melanie St. George had her art spotted at an Esplanade Starbucks and before long, it is on the label of Lujuria, an inexpensive Spanish red imported by local distributor Next Beverage. The 70/30 blend of monastrell (mourvèdre) / merlot returns in 2003 spicier and richer than ever. There is plenty of alcohol here to be sure but it is the dark chocolate plummy red fruit that will have you rushing back to get another bottle. It is dry and Spanish with earthy, peppery, earthy, smoky black cherry. Party on with this fine value red.Tasted: 26 November 2005Tasted by: Anthony Gismondi and Stuart TobePrices:
