Halo 2000
Oak Knoll District, Napa Valley, California, United StatesHalo is the best of the best cabernet vinified in small oak barrels. Look for cedar, tobacco, peppery, waxy, black berry, smoky, aromas with a touch of chocolate mint and leather. Rich, ripe, round with grainy, tannins on entry a bit of youthful dryness. Big spicy, cedar, peppery, earthy, blackberry, tobacco, flavours with a resiny, soy finish. The tannins are a bit cedary and lean but fine effort for the vintage. Needs 2-4 years.Tasted: 19 November 2005Tasted by: Anthony Gismondi and Stuart TobePrices:US | $150.00 | 750ml | retail |
