Glaetzer Wallace Shiraz Grenache 2003
Barossa Valley, South Australia, AustraliaThe Glaetzer Wallace is a lively 70/30 shiraz/grenache blend. The Barossa grenache clone tends to be lighter-coloured and bodied, according to winemaker Ben Glaetzer and so works better when bolstered by a fatter shiraz. The '03 vintage was a challenge but the peppery, fruity earthy characters of the wine still shine through. Best of all you can drink it now while you wait for the '04 Barossa red to come around.Tasted: 17 November 2005Tasted by: Anthony GismondiPrices:BC | $29.99 | 750ml | specialty |
