El Sequé Monastrell 2003
Alicante, Valencia and Murcia, SpainEl Sequé is made from 40-year and older monastrell vines. Look for spicy, tobacco, meaty, black olive notes with strawberry jam, vanilla and leafy black cherry aromas. Dry, slightly tannic palate but we love its fresh demeanour. Tobacco, meaty, peppery, bitter chocolate, olive and licorice root flavours. It's a bit lean on the finish but there is good fruit and elegance.
