Domaine Faiveley Corton Charlemagne Grand Cru 2002

Aloxe-Corton, Côte de Beaune, Côte d'Or, Burgundy, FrancePerhaps the best Corton Charlemagne ever from Faiveley. Butterscotch, spicy lees, waxy, citrus, vanilla and floral aromas soar form the glass with flecks of quince and anise. Dry, round and elegant on entry but with fine concentration and finesse. Loads of spicy, clove butter, mineral, vanilla flavours mixed with baked pear, citrus and lees flavours. Long, dry and full with plenty of acidity to age. Very fine.Tasted: 13 November 2005Tasted by: Anthony Gismondi and Stuart TobePrices:
