Napa Valley, California, United StatesGamble Ranch in Yountville is the source of Ed Sbragia's premiere '03 chardonnay. All barrel fermented in new French oak, add malolactic, lees stirring, and you have a big complex creamy white. As big as it is there is less oak and more refinement with a bit more pear and apricot and a little less butter and pineapple then previous versions.
