Robert Allen Sauvignon Blanc 2004

Napa Valley, California, United StatesA new wine with a Vancouver connection. Robert Sulatycky former executive chef at Seasons (Four Seasons Hotel Chicago), Four Seasons Toronto and Bacchus Wedgewood Vancouver is moving to Los Angeles to pursue a dream to make wine. He will cook somewhere for the next two years as he waits for his project to take off. The first edition of his new wine venture ― the Robert Allan Sauvignon Blanc ― appears to be on the right track. It has a clean, aromatic nose with passion fruit, green melon, floral, grassy aromas and a touch of bell pepper. It's fresh, round and crisp on entry with a slightly oily texture and a hint of sweetness. Again, passion fruit, grapefruit, melon and jalapeƱo flavours persistent. Fine styling and intensity - definitely made to enjoy with food.Tasted: 15 July 2005Tasted by: Anthony Gismondi and Stuart TobePrices:
