Quails' Gate Cabernet Sauvignon Family Reserve 2003

Okanagan Valley, British Columbia, CanadaVery peppery, smoky vanilla, resiny nose with earthy, blackberry aromas and a bit of a port-like aspect. Rich, round, dry and warm with gritty tannins and peppery, chocolate, vanilla, cedar, blackberry, licorice root and leather flavours. The finish is dry warm and tannic at this point and it's showing plenty oak too. This needs 3-4 years to smooth out and let the fruit shine through.Tasted: 15 July 2005Tasted by: Anthony Gismondi and Stuart TobePrices:
