Napa Valley, California, United StatesLook for voluptuous fragrant aromatics of licorice blackberries and coffee intermingled with cassis fruit and vanillin. A typical '01 it has power and length and delicious cedar-y black fruit with just a slightly lighter leaner than normal mid-palate. The fruit is an 84/10/2/2/2 mix of cabernet sauvignon / merlot / malbec/ petit verdot and cabernet franc from Mt. Veeder and Atlas Peak.
