Bongiovanni Barolo 2001
Castiglione Falletto, Cuneo, Piedmont, ItalyQuite brick in colour. Big tarry, smoky, barnyard, vanilla, leather, tobacco nose with strawberry jam and spices. Soft, round, smoother style with ripe tannins and finesse. Very good coffee, prune, tobacco, strawberry am, peppery, licorice root flavours. Good length, ripe and balanced but finish is a bit alcoholic.
