House of Morandé Red 2001
Valle del Maipo, Region del Valle Central, ChileHouse of Morandé Reserve is made using all Maipo fruit and that explains its big spicy, cassis jam nose with sappy, cedar, cardamom, vanilla and mint aromas with just a whiff of iodine and saddle leather. It has a rich, round, supple style with light, grainy tannins but otherwise well balanced. Warm with chocolate, vanilla, spicy, smoky, cassis jam, black cherry, licorice and cedar flavours. Nicely done, drink now and over the next 3 years.Tasted: 18 June 2005Tasted by: Anthony Gismondi and Stuart TobePrices:BC | $45.99 | 750ml | Private Wine Shops |
