Yalumba The Octavius Edition XII 2001
Barossa Valley, South Australia, AustraliaLook for a ripe dancing Christmas cake fruit nose with a mix of cedar, licorice and floral notes. Big young ripe the tannins are substantial yet fine grained adding to its velvety muscular structure. Just a baby but it has all the hallmarks of becoming something special in a decade. One to buy and lay away for a minimum five years. Definitely more restrained and focused with nearly 20 per cent new French oak.Tasted: 03 May 2005Tasted by: Anthony Gismondi and Stuart TobePrices:CDN | $99.99 | 750ml | Estimated Retail |
