L'Ecole No 41 Syrah 2002
Columbia Valley, Washington, United StatesL'Ecole first started messing with syrah in '99. With expanded plantings across the state they have put together a very attractive Columbia Valley version blended from four vineyards: Milbrandt Vineyard (Wahluke Slope); Seven Hills Vineyard (Walla Walla); Bacchus B5 (Columbia Basin); and Willard Family Farms (Prosser). The '02 is the first release and it looks to be a winner with it super slippery tannins and rich plummy black fruit. Its mouth filling spicy fruit flavours are sure to be a hit with consumers. Serve with a grilled lamb chops and Portabello mushrooms.Tasted: 27 May 2005Tasted by: Anthony GismondiPrices:BC | $52.95 | 750ml | Speculative Listing - Winspeer |
