L'Ecole No 41 Perigee Seven Hills Estate 2002

Walla Walla Valley, Columbia Valley, Washington, United StatesPerigee, a blend of the oldest blocks at Seven Hills mixes 57% Cabernet Sauvignon, 37% Merlot and 6% Cabernet Franc into a savoury, cedar aroma with spicy lifted black fruit notes. Its vibrancy carries through onto the palate where more blackberry fruit, black pepper and smoky oak flavours round out the palate. Big and moderately tannic with ripe berry jam, pepper and orange spice notes in the finish. It's youthful and should improve over the next five to seven years. Well done.Tasted: 20 May 2005Tasted by: Anthony Gismondi and Stuart TobePrices:
