Coteaux Varois, Provence, Sud de France, FrancePatricia Ortelli acquired Chateau La Calisse in 1991 and has completely restored the vines with a new North/South orientation ― all grown organically. The initial nose is slightly reduced with rubbery syrah notes mixed with gamey, leafy, cassis, black raspberry and mineral aromas. Round, ripe, elegant and soft with spicy, cassis, black cherry, chocolate, floral, smoky vanilla flavours. Good intensity, very well balanced palate.
