Quails' Gate Pinot Noir Limited Release 2003

Okanagan Valley, British Columbia, CanadaRipe black cherry, smoky, saddle leather, spicy, vanilla aromas with a peppery note. Rich, round entry but quite dry with some tannins. Very smoky, oaky vanilla, black cherry, worsteshire, prune plum, peppery flavours with a very dry, cedar-y, slightly tannic entry. Lots of promise but we would like to see some of the oak recede and let the pinot fruit slip through.Tasted: 10 March 2005Tasted by: Anthony Gismondi and Stuart TobePrices:
