Coyote's Run Pinot Noir Reserve 2003

Niagara Peninsula, Ontario, CanadaIntense smoky oak and toasted vanilla nose with leather, stewed plum and spicy, rhubarb nose. Dry, tart, rich entry with very smoky, oaky, resiny, rhubarb, black cherry, leather and spicy flavours. Supple and round but the fruit is totally overpowered by the oak. There is potential here but less new oak or less toasted oak would seem to be the way to go in the future.Tasted: 10 March 2005Tasted by: Anthony Gismondi and Stuart TobePrices:
