Piedmont, ItalyGood nose with very tarry, cigar tobacco, spicy, coffee, chocolate, cedar, cherry jam and a hint of truffle and orange peel. Rich, very ripe and round but with finesse. Fine peppery, spicy, tobacco, tarry, resiny, strawberry jam flavours and a licorice finish. Quite big but good concentration and balance. Needs time, perhaps 5-8 years. A more classic style.
