Penedès, Catalunya (Catalonia Cataluña), SpainDark cherry colour. Big smoky, spicy coffee vanilla oak nose with prune, pepper, black berry jam and roasted bell pepper nose. Rich, fat, round, ripe and slightly dry with huge coffee vanilla, pudding, spicy, black cherry jam, cigar, cherry cola, licorice root flavours. Very warm finish with some tannins to shed and a bit dry with high extraction. Needs 2-4 years to soften or have with some hard cheeses.
