Lodez Coteaux du Languedoc 2003

Faugères, Coteaux du Languedoc, Languedoc, Sud de France, FranceThe Jeanjean family is from St-Felix-de-Lodez, a small village in the heart of the Languedoc vineyard and have released a screwcap Coteaux du Languedoc that blend 50 per cent syrah, 30 per cent grenache and 20 per cent carignan. Look for peppery, spicy, gamey, floral, black cherry aromas but a dry structure with light tannins and cedar-y, peppery, cherry, tobacco flavours. Nice nose but needs some cheese or flank steak to balance the dryness.Tasted: 10 February 2005Tasted by: Anthony Gismondi and Stuart TobePrices:
